Communications and consent statement

How Bid Boss Inc. sends email and SMS, and how consent works. Written to Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation.

1. Who is sending. Every commercial message we send identifies Bid Boss Inc., Unit 4, 12 Vulcan St, Etobicoke, Ontario M9W 1L2, and carries a working unsubscribe.

2. Marketing is opt-in. The marketing checkbox is separate, unticked by default, and never a condition of buying or selling. The capture wording is: "Email me auction previews and offers from Bid Boss Inc., 12 Vulcan St Unit 4, Etobicoke ON. Unsubscribe anytime." SMS marketing uses its own express opt-in.

3. Unsubscribe works. Every commercial email and SMS carries an unsubscribe that functions for at least 60 days and is honoured within 10 business days, in practice immediately. Unsubscribing from marketing never stops transactional messages.

4. Transactional messages continue. Invoices, payment reminders, pickup and shipping notices, dispute updates, safety and recall notices, and account and security notices are sent to run your transactions and account, regardless of marketing preferences.

5. Records. We record the source, wording, timestamp and IP of every consent, and every unsubscribe, and we can prove the basis of any send.

6. US recipients. Marketing SMS to United States numbers is sent only with express written consent captured for that purpose.
