The Golden Rule of Auctions: “All items are sold AS IS, WHERE IS.” You will see this phrase in every professional auction house in the world. But at Bid Boss, we believe “AS IS” shouldn’t mean “Buying Blind.”

1. WHAT “AS IS” MEANS

It means you are buying the item in its current specific condition, as documented at the time of cataloging.

It does NOT mean items are hidden, junk, or misrepresented.
It DOES mean the condition is fully disclosed through our grades, notes, and real photos.

Your Job: You accept the item with the faults described (e.g., “dented box,” “scratch on screen,” or “missing manual”).

2. WHAT “WHERE IS” MEANS

It means the transfer of ownership happens at our warehouse location.

Once you win, the item is yours at our dock.
You are responsible for pickup or arranging shipping within the designated window.

3. THE BID BOSS DIFFERENCE (Real Photos)

Most liquidators use only stock photos. We don’t. We operate on a “What You See Is What You Get” model.

Cosmetic wear? We photograph it.
Crushed or damaged packaging? We show it.
Missing parts? We note it during grading.

Our inspection process is designed to remove guesswork before bidding.

4. HAVE A QUESTION? ASK THE AUCTIONEER.

If a specific detail matters to you — model numbers, ports, measurements — do not assume.

If asked before the auction closes, our floor team can often verify details.

If you don’t ask, and it isn’t shown, assume it is not included.

4. FUNCTIONAL GUARANTEE (The Exception)

Unlike traditional AS-IS auctions, Bid Boss offers limited protection on select inventory.
